Younguk “Sway” Jo (also known as Sway Jo) is a Seoul-born, Korea- and Los Angeles-based professional b-boy, illustrator, model, and creative director.

He began break dancing in 2001 with local b-boy friends and made his professional debut after winning his first competition in 2006, adopting the name Sway. Over the past two decades, he has built a distinctive style—defined by dynamic movement and a sleek, fluid flow—earning 30+ victories across battles and competitions worldwide.

Deeply influenced by street culture and hip-hop, Sway translates the energy and emotion of the stage into pop-art-inspired illustration, developing a visual language that naturally connects to his dance. This fusion of movement and imagery has become a signature of his multidisciplinary identity.

Recognized by artists and media, he has collaborated with singers, rappers, and creators across diverse backgrounds, performing on larger stages alongside globally recognized artists through concerts, showcases, and media projects.

In 2015, Sway was selected as the first Korean b-boy artist for Monster Energy, expanding his global presence. During this period and beyond, he continued to grow not only as a dancer, but also in illustration and modeling—strengthening his role as a multi-hyphenate artist.

Today, he continues to deliver strong creative output across dance, illustration, branding, and creative direction, collaborating with artists and global brands in Korea and internationally while expanding his cultural perspective and aesthetic.
